How To Make a Gods Eyes

Room 14 has been making Gods eyes and we made these for Christmas presents or to hang on a Christmas tree.

The Materials you will need are 

•  Wool
• Paddle pop sticks
• Hot glue gun 
• Sequins
• Buttons if optional 
• Scissors

How to made Gods Eyes 

• First hot glue two Popsicle sticks together make sure the Popsicle sticks is a cross
• Secondly you get any color wool to rap around the cross
• Make sure when you rap the wool  around the cross you need to go around two then quarter turn around two then quarter turn.
• Once you have finished going around two then you go around one then quarter turn and keep on going on.
• If all the wool runs out just pick another piece of wool and make a knot and keep on going .

If you followed these steps carefully you would have succeeded in making a Gods eye and it would look like this.successful because 

I know that I was successful because I made one with eight Popsicle sticks.

My favorite part was finishing it because it looked cool.

Room 14 has been focusing on inspiration these are some stuff room 14 know about Vincent Van Gogh.Vincent Van Gogh was born on the 30th of March 1853 and he died on the 29th July 1890 age 37. Three artist who influenced Vincent was his brother Theo, Millet,and Gauguin.This photo is a picture of one of Vincents flowers that I drawed.

Inspiration Linear Prespective

Yesterday room 14 were doing 3D cubes. A horizon line is a line that goes across the page.
A vanishing point is a dot that everything points towards.objects look smaller as they get closer to a vanishing point.One point perspective is one persons view of seeing .

Cross Country

Last week on Friday the senior syndicate went to minogue park and did cross country.
It was so nerve racking getting there because the year 6's had to run 2 km. When it was the year 6 girls turn I was shaking because there were heaps of fast year 6's. I was glad it finished.

Personification

The rusty brown dust tumbling off,

Struggling to stand but is always drunk,

Bullied to bits but nor couldn't stand,

Just laying there looks like it's dead.

Amazing adventures the soldiers thought,
 Blood popping out when someone got caught, 
Cannons falling everywhere it feels like i'm bare and practically nowhere,
Dead soldiers laying everywhere now I know what its like in war,
Everywhere I can feel my fear,
Finding food I hope I wasn't so rude,
Gunshot goes how i know heavens waiting for me,
Hard and heavy rain
I have never been in so much pain,
Just to hear a soldiers voice,
Keen as a soldier could ever be,
Laughter and lost I always see,
Mother now I know I will never be,
Never to be seen I'm sorry for being so mean,
Over all my goal was to survive the war,

Reading Reflection - Super Hero Pets

Term 2 Reflection

The thing I most enjoyed in term 2 was doing hockey. the most challenging thing we did this term was going to the space Dave. The most important thing I learnt the term was the intruder alarm and what I'm looking forward for next term is sports.

Geometry

What I learnt about geometry is a 2D shape is flat and is hard to hold.
 And a  3D shape is more easier to hold .

(Example a cube has 6 faces 8 angles and 12 sides.)
(A square has 4 sides 1 face and 4 corners.)

In week 5 on Friday we did tabloids. What I enjoyed was doing tug-a- war because our class won and I was nervous at the start because I thought one of the other classes might have beat us for tug-a- war.

I'm a House Captain

Today I was chosen to be an House Captain. I was really excited because I was also chosen to be the head leader for Ngata. I changed house colors because there were to many house captains in Batten. so that's how I changed to Ngata. I'm feeling really excited to help people with the Swimming sports and where our house colors to get house points.
